Our college has been a veritable academic Oasis ever since a motley collection of agriculturists, businessmen and small scale industrialists came together to start a modest educational institution under the rubric of “The Adoni College and Educational Society” sponsored by The Rotary Club of Adoni in the year 1962. It is their vision that helped this institution to gain a modest eminence in the backwater of Rayalaseema. Their efforts bore fruit in providing access to quality higher education to those who knew only privation and no privilege. They strove continually with a disinterested zeal for its growth and development. It can be likened to a lotus blooming from the morass of mediocrity. Thus the college owes its existence to the inspiration, indefatigable efforts and the spirit of service of the members of the Rotary Club of Adoni, the philanthropic public, merchants and agriculturists of Adoni and Alur taluks. Its alumni achieved power and glory in their professional pursuit proving time and again the dictum that talent breaks through the doors of parochialism, provincialism, urban and rural divide.
