Keeping
in view the advancement of technology across the world, the management of the
college opened a self-funding course in B.Sc. degree with MPCs as a programme in the year 1987-88.
At
the time of inception, the Department had only two computers in the lab and
made a modest beginning. In the later
years phenomenal growth was witnessed. We are proud to say that the Department
today has two well furnished computer labs with 67 latest systems.
During
the year 1998-99, one more programme was added to
B.Sc. degree course viz, MSCs. MECs in B.Sc. and
B.Com. (Computer Applications) were started in 2001-02.

Upgradation:
Under
XI Plan, the department of Computer Science received financial assistance from
UGC under BSR Grants for its Upgradation. A new
Computer Science lab with sixty new Desktops connected with LAN is to be
commissioned shortly.
