The Adoni Arts and Science College is not only the second oldest college in Kurnool district, it is the sweet dream of a drought prone, backward region, where people have known only privation but no privilege. It is not built by any Maha Rajah or Nawab, but by the common people, by the dint of their hard work. The sweat of their brow underwent a glorious transformation into academic ambrosia. A Service Organization like the Rotary Club joined hands with them and sponsored the college. It is all the more remarkable that all this happened forty five years ago. It has no parallel anywhere else. Scaling new heights, accepting new challenges and overcoming them has been the glorious tradition of our college. Involvement, Commitment, Dedication and hard work have been our Magic Mantras and success has been our only Goal. Our refrain has been and shall be ‘We shall overcome, we shall overcome'

v The Book and the Flame symbolize KNOWLEDGE and WISDOM. v

The Lotus (Padma) symbolizes ENLIGHTENMENT. v The Cotton Pods represent the main commercial crop in the region and symbolize prosperity. v Thamasoma Jyothirgamaya (lead us from darkness to light) , the dictum borrowed from The Brihadaranyokapanishad is the working philosophy of the institution. v The Rotary Wheel signifies that the college is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Adoni. The College Emblem precisely reflects our sentiments.
